Tamil Nadu will emerge as the most prosperous state in the nation- CM M.K. Stalin in Coimbatore

The CM who took part in the govt event in Eachanari here, urged people to be a pillar of support to the government. Put your demands righteously, this is people's government, we will strive to fulfill your demands, the CM exhorted.



Coimbatore: Even as the government has implemented various schemes and projects within a year of its assuming office, it would go to build on its strength to make Tamil Nadu the most prosperous state in the nation and this function is as good as a "Kovai Maanadu" to announce that to the rest of the world said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin in Eachanari, here on Wednesday.



CM MK Stalin, who took part in the massive government function to distribute welfare measures to over.1.07 lakh beneficiaries at Eachanari today and inaugurated various completed works which have been executed at an estimated cost of Rs.272 crores, and also laid the foundation stone for new works for an outlay of 663 crores on the occasion listed out the schemes and projects which have been fulfilled or allocated for the region.



"I would say to the doubters who have been raising the question, what you have done so far? This much we have done" said CM Stalin and reeled out the statistics for the benefit of the public.



While noting that Rs.1510 crores have been allocated for the city airport extension project, the CM said Rs.200 crores was allocated and works completed for various road work projects in the district.

He pointed that this is his 5th visit to the city in the last 15 months after assuming office. This is the proof of his love towards the city and its people. And, this historical event has added more pride to the city.

"While all efforts have been taken to implement to Metro rail project in the city, Rs.200 crores have been allocated for laying "Semmoli Poonga" near central jail", he noted.

He also said that Tamil Nadu has emerged as a model state, and other states are following our example. But, few people here are not able to stomach it and so they address the press and level unfounded allegations.



"When I was asked about the economic growth of Tamil Nadu by the President of India and Vice-President, I have answered that it was not achieved in a single day but over years, under the able guidance of Periyar, Anna and Kalaignar." the Chief Minister noted.

Further adding Stalin said "I have learned only to grow by any criticism leveled against me. if people oppose me, I will work more efficiently and prove my point. I would not allow vested interests to do damage to Tamil Nadu."

The CM also noted that his political opponents indulged in unjustified criticism only to hide the things which are happening inside their party and added they have no locus standi to criticize him.



The Chief Minister also exhorted the people to be a pillar of support to the government. "Put your demands righteously, this is people's government, we will strive to fulfill your demands" he submitted to the people.
