TN CM M. K. Stalin distributes welfare measures worth Rs. 587.68 crore to a whopping 1 .07 lakh beneficiaries in Coimbatore.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for 768 projects worth Rs. 663 crores for departments including Tamil Nadu Power Generation Distribution Corporation, Coimbatore Corporation, Public Works Department, Water Resources Department and Adi Dravidar Welfare Department.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, distributed welfare measures to 1,06,641beneficiaries at a massive Government function organised at Eachanari today.



While the CM would inaugurate completed works worth estimated cost of Rs.272 crores and laid foundation stone for 768 projects worth Rs. 663 crore of various departments including PWD, Coimbatore Corporation, TANGEDCO, Rural Development, Highways, and Agriculture engineering departments,he would also lay the foundation stone for new works spanning various departments including Adidravida welfare, PWD, Coimbatore Corporation, TANGEDCO, Rural Development, Highways, Tamil development, and others.



According to officials, the whopping number of beneficiaries who would receive welfare measures is unprecedented when compared to earlier years and as large as four times.

Welfare measures under various schemes and spanning departments to 1,06,641beneficiaries worth Rs. 587.68 crore

including Public Health Department, District lead bank, Revenue, and Disaster management, social welfare department and district industries center, Rural Development and horticulture departments weredistributed to the beneficiaries on the occasion.



Screening for COVID-19 and personal belonging were carried out at the entry point for participants and plastic bottles were not allowed inside the venue.Hundreds of policemen would be engaged in security duty at the venue.

Tamil Nadu Ministers Senthil Balaji, Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, Swaminathan, Muthusamy, Ramachachandran, District collector GS Sameeran, Corporation Commissioner Prathap, Mayor Kalpana Anathkumar, a large number of DMK functionaries, cadres would take part in the function.
