Unidentified miscreants throw acid on 20 buffaloes near Kallar area in Coimbatore district

A thorough investigation is being carried out on whether this was an act of vendetta against Rajkumar, the owner of the buffaloes.



Coimbatore: Rajkumar, a resident of Theni district near Kallar railway gate, near Mettupalayam has been farming in the same area since 2008 and rears over 40 buffaloes and rears cows for milk.

Last week, when 20 buffaloes had been out grazing, some unidentified miscreants had reportedly threw acid on them. On Sunday, while tending to the herd, Rajkumar was shocked to see their skins peeling off and turning into big wounds. Rajkumar immediately informed the police who arrived at the farm and began investigating.



A thorough investigation is being carried out on whether this was an act of vendetta against Rajkumar. Veterinarians are currently treating the wounded animals.
