Representatives of Dravida Panpaattu Kootiyakkam petition Police Commissioner against violations by BJP and Hindu outfits

The petitioners alleged that without obtaining proper police permission, both BJP and Hindu outfits are engaged in religious propaganda at many places in the city. Hence, sought legal action.



Coimbatore: Alleging that the BJP and other Hindu outfits are indulging in violence and outright propaganda in many places, the functionaries of Dravidar Pannpattu Kootiyakkam petitioned Police Commissioner Balakrishnan to rein in their activities.

The petitioners alleged without obtaining proper police permission, both BJP and Hindu outfits are engaged in religious propaganda at many places. In one such incident they tore up the portrait of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, but no police action was initiated against the perpetrators, which is raising the question, if the police exhibiting partiality.

"This sort of violence may lead to law and order disorder and affect solidarity" the petitioners noted.

The functionaries of Periyar Dravaida Kazhagam, Dravidar Viduthalai Iyyakam, Dravida Iyakka Tamil Peravai were part of the petitioners.
