About 176 persons who have rendered exemplary services in various departments including , Government medical college, Forest department, Disaster Relief Centre, District Sports Centre, and Coconut Research centre were given commendation certificates.
While another 66 police personnel who have committed acts of bravery were also honoured on the occasion.
The staff members working in Government Medical College Hospital, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, PHCs at Pollachi and Sowripalayam were given commendation certificates for their exemplary services under CMs extended medical insurance scheme, and Ayushman Bharath Prathan Mantri Arogya Yojana.
Meanwhile, Kakkadavu Panchayat in Kinathukadavu Panchayat union won the first prize for model panchayat and was given 7.5 lakhs prize money.
Culturals programmes by school children were organised and people thronged to the VOC grounds to witness the grand celebrations after two year due to Corona induced restrictions.
