'Oru Kural Puratchi' project launched in Tirupur Corporation to address public grievances

The Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply of Tamil Nadu launched the 'Oru Kural Puratchi' project in Tirupur Corporation to address the grievances of the public.



Tirupur: In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Tamil Nadu, K N Nehru, the Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply of Tamil Nadu launched the 'Oru Kural Puratchi' project in Tirupur Corporation to address the grievances of the public.

The new digital grievance redressal service was launched by the Tirupur Corporation through which the public can contact the Corporation and lodge a complaint via 155304, a toll-free phone call. Similarly one can contact 7305712225, 24 hours a day through WhatsApp to lodge grievances.



The service center will function round-the-clock so that 15 people can voice their grievances at a time.



Complaints related to garbage disposal for sanitary hygiene, Health Department grievances, damaged roads, faulty electric lights etc., can be addressed by the public on the above numbers. In case of such a communication, the control room functioning in the Corporation office and the concerned Corporation official will be informed and an SMS will be sent to the complainant. If the concerned officer does not take action within the stipulated days, the complaint will directly reach the Mayor and the Commissioner of the Corporation.

Facilities such as monitoring garbage vehicles and monitoring vehicular traffic jams have also been arranged through the computers at the center.



These were also inaugurated by K N Nehru, the Minister for Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply of Tamil Nadu, on Saturday.
