19-year old TNAU Student hangs to death in hostel room

The 1st year Biotechnology student was found hanging in his hostel room. The R.S.Puram police have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. A case has been filed and further investigations are on.


Coimbatore: A students Prathosh Kumar (19) studying first year B.Sc (Biotechnology) at TNAU, here ended his life by hanging to death at the college hostel, where he was staying.

The first year Biotechnology student was allegedly under duress as he couldn't get a seat for B.Sc Forestry. The depressed student had allegedly attempted suicide once before.

The students hails from Thiruvannamalai district and his father Palani is working as a bus conductor in TNSTC.

R.S.Puram police have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. A case has been filed and further investigations are on.
