82-year old woman brutally murdered near Sulur; arms, legs taped using packing tapes

An octogenarian Sarajini (82) residing alone was murdered in cold blood by unidentified miscreants. The unidentified miscreants had taped the arms and legs of the woman using packing tapes.



Coimbatore: An octogenarian Sarajini (82) wife of Chinnasamy residing in Gandhinagar, Pallapalayam near Sulur was murdered in cold blood by unidentified miscreants.

According to police the murderers, who entered her house had taped her arms and legs using packing tapes and murdered her.

Sarojini had been living alone in the house after her husband Chinnasamy had deceased a few years back. Yesterday, a neighbour Selvi, checked out on the old woman after 12 pm yesterday, as they grew suspicious as the milk pocket was not taken by her in the morning.

Sulur police recovered the body and sent for postmortem analysis. Coimbatore district SP Badri Narayanan inspected the spot and held inquiries.
