In the finals of the tournament held today, he defeated Kannan (Coimbatore) to lift the Championship.
The third annual national level Tennis tournament was flagged off in Coonoor on Tuesday where more than 200 players from Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Karnataka and Puducherry took part.
Stepping into the third successful year, the tournament is being be conducted under three different categories -- under 14 boys, girls and for people above 50 years of age.
In junior category finals which took place today, Kiran Dev from Tamil Nadu played against Kannan from Coimbatore in which the former defeated by latter by 2-6, 6-4 and 6-4 to lift the Trophy.
Dinesh Kumar and Ashok Kumar, the administrators of New Social Club made the necessary arrangements for the tournament and Mr. Krishnan was the chair umpire for the matches.
