District Congress party members protest claiming de-monetisation as 'anti-people policy'.


Members of the Congress Party today held a protest at the South Taluk Office, Coimbatore condemning Prime Minister Modi for causing turbulence in people's life by announcing de-monetisation.

More than hundred protestors of the district congress party raised slogans against the de-monetisation policy. They stated that 'Prime Minister Modi had promised that the situation will set right by 50 days time. But even after 50 days, people are still struggling in distress to withdraw cash. ATMs and banks are still crowded with people, who had to spend long hours in the queue to do bank transactions. Small and medium scale businesses have been adversely affected by the de-monetisation policy, while numerous small traders and petty shop owners have lost their livelihood in complete in many parts of the nation.

This act by the central government is totally against the welfare of the people, hence, on priority, steps should be taken to regulate the cash flow and stabilize the situation, said the agitators.
