Cat rescued from tree in Avarampalayam

It was indeed an operation of a different type for the Fire and Rescue Services personnel here – to save a life of a cat.

The Fire and Rescue service personnel from Ganapathy Fire Station reached Kamaraj Nagar in Avarampalayam when they received a call to save a cat that climbed some 35 ft up a tree but cannot come down. Crows, and eagles started attacking it.

When local residents contacted the animal rescue team, they told them that they don’t have the wherewithal, and then they decided to contact the fire station.

Till a fire tender reached the spot, the residents kept chasing away the crows, and eagles. Within minutes, the fire fighters rescued the cat, amid loud cheers, and applause.
