BJP to release poll manifesto soon

BJP state vice-president Vanathi Srinivasan on Tuesday said the saffron party would release its manifesto for Tamil Nadu assembly poll within 15 days and indicated that this would be a different manifesto for the state.

Speaking to reporters here, Vanathi Srinivasan said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party's national president Amit Shah campaign for the party in the state. BJP national secretary H Raja, she said, is giving the final touch to the manifesto. "We will discuss with senior leaders and add important things in the manifesto. It would be a different manifesto for the state," said Vanathi Srinivasan.

Referring to poll alliance, the state BJP leader said the party has been holding talks with many political outfits. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will become stronger in the coming election. "We would announce the alliance details after finalizing it with other political outfits. Meanwhile, we are also concentrating on increasing the strength of our party in the state. A few of the political outfits have already approached our leaders. We hope that all major political outfits will join us," said Vanathi.
