Rs.22.8 lakh unaccounted money seized in two days

Authorities have seized unaccounted money to the tune of Rs.22.80 lakhs during the last two days from 10 persons in the Nilgiri district.

During vehicle checks, the officials seized a little over Rs.7 lakhs at checkposts coming under Coonoor and Gudalur constituencies yesterday. Rs.2.5 lakhs, Rs.10.94 lakhs, and Rs.2.25 lakhs were seized today from Torapalli, Kil Nadukani, and Kunjapanai checkposts in Udhgamandalam, Gudalur, and Coonoor constituencies.

The money was seized from 10 persons. Most of them were from Kerala.
