Pelamedu gets a new park

People of Pelamedu can now spend some leisure time in the evening in the new children’s park that was inaugurated today at Maniam Pappammal Street, opposite Shri Gopal Naidu School.

The park was inaugurated by S.P. Velumani, Minister of Municipal Administration and Rural Development, along with Mayor P. Rajkumar.

Ravi Sam, Trustee of Sri Gopal Naidu Educational Trust said that the park is open to all in the evenings. “The park consists of a walker’s footpath and plaything for kids including swings and slides,” he informed.

He further added that the Corporation had immediately extended its support for the setting up of the park when the trust approached them with the idea.
