Petrol bomb hurled at Tasmac outlet

The police on Monday night arrested Padmakumar (37) on the charge of hurling molotov cocktail (petrol bomb) at a Tasmac outlet on Nanjundapuram road.

It was learnt that accused entered the outlet with his own snacks which was opposed by bar employees.

The accused reportedly picked a wordy quarrel and left only to return around 9.30 p.m. to hurl a petrol bomb at the shop.

A fire extinguisher from a nearby petrol outlet was used to put off the fire that was spreading fast as it was fuelled by alcohol. No one was injured.

The police secured the accused and investigations are on.
