A Girl and a boy found dead on Podanur railway tracks

A boy and a girl have been found dead on railway tracks at Ganeshapuram, Podanur during early hours of today.

The initial investigation reports reveal that the body of the teenagers have been identified as Ramya (19) belonging to Sivanandhapuram, Kothagiri who has been pursuing under graduation at a private college at Gobichettipalayam, Erode. The male corpse has been identified as Diwakar (20) from Thenkarai, Ooty. The police recovered a bag that was lying beside the track with poison bottles, educational certificates and ID cards which aided to track their identification.  

The bodies have been shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem. The reasons behind their death is yet to be ascertained. The Podanur police have filed a case and kick-started the investigation process.
