Cops hard work pays off, Swathi murderer search mission accomplished

A few minutes ago, Director-General of Police and Chennai Police Commissioner K.Rajendran briefed the press on the Swathi murder episode.

He confirmed that Ramkumar (24), a mechanical engineering from Meenakshipuram Village, Sengottai is the brutal killer and accused in the  case. He has been staying in Choolaimedu, Chennai in a mansion and has been following Swathi regularly for the past few weeks.

He has pre-planned and executed the murder but the motive behind the murder is yet to be analysed in full, said Director-General of Police and Chennai Police Commissioner. The accused Ramkumar slitted his throat with a sharp object, while the police attempted to enter his home and arrest him.

He is presently under medical care at Tirunelveli Government hospital. He also added, that further interrogation will begin after his betterment and that he could be shifted to Chennai government hospital.
