Today, Corporation officials with poclain approached Vasantha Nagar, Neelikonampalayam to demolish the '"Semozhi Manadu Park'' established during DMK's reign in 2010. The residents gathered in large number and argued with the corporation officers to refrain from demolishing the park.
The corporation officials stated that as per city plan, the place of the park had been alloted to setup a primary health centre for that area and requested the people to extend their cooperation to carry out their task.
Soon the tussle heated up, which invited Singanallur MLA Karthick to the scene.
MLA Karthick alleged that AIADMK government is purposefully trying to wipe off all the beneficial programmes established by the DMK government and supported the residents.
