On 12th June, Prakash, a 29 year old working in a private company at Coimbatore, immolated his wife Vaishnavi in a fit of rage leaving her with serious burns. She was unconscious and currently undergoing critical treatment at the Government Hospital.
On regaining consciousness, she recorded her statement on the incident to the Police alleging her husband for attempting to kill her, also stated that her husband had always been suspecting her. The couple have a 3 year old girl child.
The City Police has booked the accused under section 307 and taken him under custody.
