A village without basic amenities

Let it be a power cut or a WIFI signal lost for a brief time, it makes us feel so much impatient and unproductive.

On the contrary, it's hard to imagine people belonging to our neighbouring villages are still living in ancient setups. Yes, life at Chikkadasampalayam, Mettupalayam  is not that easy for the 100 families residing there. The government has provided them with free house sites last October 2015 but still they are dreaming to have their basic amenities like  toilets, drinking water, roads, electricity and drainage. Makes us wonder, if they still are living in a prehistoric era?

Several petitions have gone unnoticed and concerned officials not addressing their plea has put them in immense frustration. And this time, children also join as petitioners along with their parents pleading for their basic amenities. They gave their petitions to the District Collector and hoping to get it resolved.
