Stand Up India schemes to be focused by banks

In an effort to support entrepreneurship among women, SC and ST communities the government has launched Stand Up India scheme. According to this scheme any manufacturing, service or trade sector to be set up by a woman, SC or ST  entrepreneur can avail the subsidy. The advantage of this scheme is that the application can be tracked online.

Under this scheme, entrepreneurs will get training from providing the project proposal to marketing. Subsidies can be availed from this even if they are registered for any other schemes. Totally 3 applications have been received till now. The main agencies for this scheme are District lead bank, NABARD. Over 700 banks are present and they are instructed to sanction at least 2 projects per year in the bankers meeting held on last Tuesday.

Further details of the scheme can be gathered from https://www.standupmitra.in
