Even after government orders to set time frame for Tasmac shop, a lot of shops are operated 24x7 and creating troubles for locals. the shop was operating from 4.00 a.m. and daily wage labors was spending all the money at the shop.
Nearly 125 women of Devanampalayam Village near Negamam staged the protest on Thursday to close the shop as it has church, temple and bus stand nearby and creating the nuisance for them. the shop was shut down temporarily but the protest becomes fierce after the ladies demanded immediate closure and threatened to hold self-immolation if their demand was not met.
Due to this Kinathukadavu Tahsildar, Pollachi subdivision DSP T. Charles and police officials had to intervene to solve the issues.
