The Judicial Magistrate court here sentenced Sivakumar of Kallipalayam to life sentence for murdering his maternal uncle with a grindstone (Ammikal).
Coimbatore : The Judicial Magistrate court here sentenced Sivakumar of Kallipalayam to life sentence for murdering his maternal uncle with a grindstone (Ammikal).
Sivakumar got addicted to bottle and on a fateful day picked up a quarrel with his uncle Natarajan, demanding money to drink. When Natarajan refused to budge, Sivakumar picked up a grindstone and fatally attacked him.
The court which heard the case pronounced Sivakumar guilty and awarded the life sentence. The guilty was also slapped a fine of Rs.1000.
