Around 1,61,787 children below five years of age from the city would be administered with polio drops as today marks the 23rd nation-wide pulse polio campaign, said a release from the City Corporation.
The campaign was kick-started today, January 28 at various centres including the primary health centres' situated in the city and it's suburb.
This morning, Corporation Commissioner, Dr.K. Vijayakarthikeyan inspected the on-going pulse polio campaign at Seethalakshmi maternity hospital along with sanitary and health officers.
Parents with kids less than five years of age are advised to administer polio drops at the designated centres.
