SP Velumani, Minister for Municipalities would inaugurate the Jallikattu organized in Chettipalayam at around 8 am tomorrow in which 500 bulls and 750 tamers have registered to take part said District collector TN Hariharan.
Collector TN Hariharan, who inspected the prepared venue of the first ever Jallikattu event in the city said that all preparations have been carried out to make the event a successful one. An ambulance would be kept ready to treat the injured tamers.
Barricades and spectator avenues have been erected in the venue for the safety of spectators he said and added about 2000 policemen would be on duty for crowd control and other safety measures.
