Peeved at the callous attitude of the officials who kept away from Grama Sabha meeting, the villagers Ashokapuram panchayat in Perianaickenpalayam panchayat union boycotted the meeting and played games such as “Ainthu Kal”.
Though the Grama Sabha meeting was to commence at 11 am, none of the officials including BDO arrived at the village. Angry villagers, who had waited with petitions then played Ainthu kal, a village game.
Later they boycotted the meeting due to the absence of officials on Republic day.
