Sale of applications for MBBS, BDS begins

Sale of application forms for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Science courses started at the Coimbatore Medical College premises on the Avinashi Road, on Thursday. Applications will be for sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days till June 6.

The forms will be distributed free of cost to students from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. It is priced at Rs. 500 for the students from other communities. Filled-in applications should be submitted before 5 p.m. on June 7. Students can also apply online.

Counselling

Merit list of the applicants will be released on June 17. First phase of counselling will begin for the special category on June 20 and go on till the 25{+t}{+h}of that month.

The second phase counselling will be conducted from July 18 to 21.

There was a sigh of relief among the student applicants who will be able to appear for counselling pattern for admission in medical colleges in the State – as it was in the yester years – following exemption from National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
