Tamilnadu Government should have gone for a phased upward revision of the bus fare hike, instead of hiking it at one go. A step by step approach would have been acceptable to the public said Pon Radhakrishnan, Union Minister

Briefing the media after participating in the 150th birth anniversary Ratha Yatra of Sister Niveditha organized at a private college here, Pon Radhakrishnan said Vairamuthu has only expressed his regret and not tendered his apology to the devotees.

“Even as he is claiming Andal to be his “mother” why he is hesitating to tender his apology” Pon Radhakrishnan quipped.
While dismissing the claim of all who have worn “saffron clothes” as sanyasis, he said he is not in a position to give his views on the remarks on a certain sect of sannyasins against Vairamuthu.
“It is the duty of saints and sanyasis, I am not one,“ Pon Radhakrishnan said and added that H. Raja's outburst against Vairamuthu was something which had happened despite himself.
