Fatal fall claims life of 19-year-old college student from city bus

A 19-year-old college student Keerthana died on the spot when she fatally fell to her death while traveling on a city bus.



Coimbatore, January 22

In a gruesome accident, a 19-year-old college student was crushed to death after she fell off the bus. 

Keerthana (19), a second year engineering student ,boarded a city bus this morning to reach her College situated in Avinashi road.

As it was rush hour, the student had left with little space in the crowded bus and had to travel in the footboard. As the bus was travelling through Vadamadurai-Thadagam road, she slipped and fell off from the footboard and died on the spot after the trailing vehicle ran over her. 

The deceased student hails from Palanigoundenpudur here. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
