Police arrested fraudster duo Shatruhan (30), and Gowri (42) both belonging to Mysore on charges of selling gold- coated imitation jewelry to a city-based jeweler.
The conmen duo had approached Ravi, a jeweler and informed him about the 1.5 kg gold ornament in their possession. They said that wanted some money urgently, and so are selling the ornaments.
On appraising a gold chain in their possession, Ravi found out that it was only gold- coated imitation jewelry.
Consequently, Ravi preferred a complaint with Kattur police who arrested the duo. Investigations are on.
