The body of Sarath Prabhu, the Postgraduate medical student who had died in mysterious circumstances at UCMS in Delhi arrived at the Coimbatore airport and later transported to Tiruppur by an ambulance, and the final rites were performed in his native village Paarapalayam near Tiruppur.

Leaders including GK Vasan, President of Tamil Manila Congress and State minister Udumalai Radhakrishnan paid last respect to the body of the young medical student among others.
The postgraduate medical student who was pursuing first-year M.D died yesterday morning in mysterious circumstances. His roommates found him unconscious in the bathroom. A syringe needle and medicines were found near his body.
While briefing the media G.K.Vasan said that culprits in this suspicious death should be punished.
While appealing to the Tamilnadu Government to ensure the safety of students studying in other states in India Vasan said that counseling centers should be opened in every state for the benefit of the students who go places to pursue their higher studies.
Udumalai Radhakrishnan said that “ we have lost a good medical student. Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy has promised to extend all help to the bereaved family who has lost their promising son to sudden and mysterious death.
“The father of the student had raised many doubts about the circumstances surrounding his son’s death, the TN Government would pursue the matter and bring the culprits to book” the minister said.
