Three day Tamil e-content workshop from tomorrow

The three-day Tamil e-content development workshop, beginning tomorrow at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), will focus on developing scientific articles in Tamil on the terminologies in agricultural sciences, with at least 250 words per terminology.

The workshop is being organized jointly with Tamil Virtual Academy, Chennai, and Agricultural Scientific Tamil Society, New Delhi, with the participation of more than 200 agricultural professionals consisting of young scientists, research scholars and research associates of the TNAU.

The academy aims to upload at least one article about each glossary of agricultural science so that there will not be a zero response when users search on search engines like Google and Wikipedia.

The workshop aims to develop at least 25,000 mini-articles on various disciplines of agriculture like agronomy, soil science, pathology, entomology, breeding, social sciences, agricultural engineering, horticulture, and forestry.

The participants will be given hands on training for uploading e-contents on the websites for the purpose of researchers, students, and the farmers.

TNAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr. K. Ramasamy will inaugurate the workshop, while Prof. M. Tamil Parithi, Deputy Director of Tamil Virtual Academy, and Dr. M. Muthamil Selvan, Founder and President of Agricultural Scientific Tamil Society, New Delhi, will coordinate the programme with practical work plans.
