Two history sheeters nabbed

The City Police on Monday nabbed two history sheeters in connection with various crimes including chain snatching incident. 

According to Singanallur Police,  two persons were moving about suspiciously near a Tasmac outlet near the Singanallur Bus Terminus.

On further investigation, the suspects were identified as S. Suresh alias Chakravarthy and P. Shankar alias Shankaralingam from Coimbatore

Police sources also claimed that the duo were allegedly involved in chain snatching incidents in Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode and have been arrested and remanded numerous times by the police for criminal activities in the past.

The duo had also allegedly indulged in chain snatching incident in areas including Kothari Nagar, Murugan Nagar, Kannan Nagar and Trichy Road in Coimbatore recently.

The police arrested the duo and lodged them at the Coimbatore Central Prison. Around 14 sovereign gold jewellery and a two wheeler were also retrieved from the duo.
