Coimbatore, January 06
Even as the TNSTC transport employees strike entered the third day, the regular bus services remain affected in most part of the city.
As many as 14 labor unions and the crew attached to it including that of DMK and CITU have been striking work demanding the pay hike and another charter of demands.
Even as the talks held with the Transport Minister M.R. Vijaya Bhaskar did not yield any result, and the striking employees refused to accept the terms reached in the dialogue, the strike continued for the third day.
With only skeletal service running in the city, the Gandhipuram, Ukkadam, and Singanallur bus terminus points looked deserted today.
