The three-day cultural programme 'Kovaiyil Thiruvaiyaru' was inaugurated at Corporation Kalaiarangam today. This is the first time this is taking place here. Thirty artistes including musicians and dancers will showcase their talent during the event. Speaking on the occasion, M. Krishnan, Managing Director, Sri Krishna Sweets, said: "In the modern era of urbanisation, creative arts are taking a back stage. We hope that programmes such as these will be held in the city in future too."
The entry to the programme is free.
