Photo exhibition on MGR in the Nilgiris


Nilgiris, December 22

As a prelude to the centenary celebrations of late Chief Minister MG Ramachandran in the Nilgiris District on December 30, a photo exhibition including the rare photos of the leader cum actor was inaugurated by S.P. Velumani, Municipal Administration Minister, here today. District Collector Innocent Divya, K.R. Arjunan and C. Gopalakrishnan, Members of Parliament, were also present on the occasion.



The exhibition has more than 200 photos that chronicle the life of MG Ramachandran. The exhibition is open to the public till Dec. 24. A hi-tech electronic advertising vehicle will be showing the movies of MGR with historical importance and other short films across the Nilgiris District till December 29. 



Mr.Velumani inspected Ooty Race Course, the venue of the centenary celebrations. Santhi Ramu, Coonoor ,MLA, and Baskar Pandiyan, District Revenue Officer, were also present on the occasion.
