Uzhavar Uzhaipalar Katchi leader K. Chellamuthu said that there was no resolution was passed against the Indian farmers at the World Trade Conference held in South America.
He was addressing the media persons at Tiruppur Railway Station today.
Chellamuthu had returned from the 11th Ministerial Conference of World Trade Organisation held at Buenos Aires, Argentina that concluded on December 13. He said that he had proposed various schemes pertaining to Indian farmers and it was also insisted that any business practice that would affect agriculturists should be discouraged. He said that he was happy that no resolution that would go against farmers was passed in the programme.
Representatives from across 164 countries and agricultural organisations from 64 countries took part in the conference.
