"Transform your passion into business" urges an inspiring entrepreneur

Coimbatore, December 10

"You can start earning your money if you transform your passion into business," Sreelakshmi Suresh, one of  the youngest web designers and CEO of a company  said here on Saturday. She was chief guest at the annual day of the Park Global School, Kalapatti and Kaniyur campus, celebrated  at Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium on the Park College of Engineering and Technology (PCET) campus. The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘East meets West’.

Sreelkashimi said “School days are the best days in our life. Sadly, we realise this only when we complete our schooling. When I was in class III, my father discovered that I had the talent to design web pages. He told my school principal about it. My principal put my ability to test by asking me to design the website of my school, Presentation Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, Kerala.”

“Age gave me the importance, media gave me the recognition and awards put pressure on me to deliver the best. I began designing websites when I was just eight years old. Ever since I started my company, I have designed more than 300 websites. Slow and steady wins the race is the mantra to be successful in business. Google and Facebook were not built in a day.” she added.

Urging the students to make their passion their profession, she said “Today we depend on our parents for all our needs. Think of a situation when you can buy all that you want with the money that you have earned. You can start earning your money if you transform your passion into business.” she said. She concluded  by telling the students to develop thinking beyond the ordinary.

“If we want the world that we live in to become a better place, we have to bring in a change. Think out-of-the-box. Remember that happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life. Follow your dreams.”

H. Natarajan, principal, Park Global School, delivered the welcome address and  presented the annual report. Dr. P. V. Ravi, Chairman, Park Institutions, delivered special address .

CEO, Park Institutions, Dr. Anusha Ravi said “For the last ten years, it has not been difficult for us to find a teenager who has made a mark for himself or herself in the respective field. There is no single person in this world who can say that I am what I am because everything worked for me just the way I planned. Children must be given the right exposure so that they can evolve in life. Exposure that we give children in school is the best education we can give them.” Reiterating that there is no substitute for hard work, She said that child does not require money to be happy. A child with a happy heart can survive anywhere and in any situation.

About 50 students were given a trophies and certificates. The students of the school performed a fashion show, solo and group dances on the theme ‘East meets West’.
