Coimbatore, Dec. 1
"Despite Madras HC's ruling on November 30 to remove all banners, flexes and the structures holding it, the city corporation is yet to remove such structures from several places in the city," alleged the advocates of DMK party who submitted a petition to the District Collector here today.

In their petition they cited the death ofsoftware engineer Ragupathy, 32, who allegedly died in a accident after ramming into one of the banner structures on the Avinashi Road . They pointed out that in a majority of the places the banners are still intact. Even after HC's ruling why the concerned officials have not expedited the process of removal, they questioned.
They also said that a petition would be submitted to the Commissioner of Police as well.
