Coimbatore, Nov 18: Important documents pertaining to the Highways Department were charred due to a minor fire in a building at Highways Colony on Trichy Road on Friday.
It is reported that officials of the Highways Department had secured many important documents in the building in which the fire accident occurred.
Based on the information from the people, the south zone fire and rescue department rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
The officials from the Highways department have ordered an enquiry into the incident. However, no casualties were reported.
