GRD ICIM: Marketing challenges and much more

The fourth International Conference in International Marketing (ICIM) on ‘International Marketing in Asia Pacific Issues and Challenges – 2017’ saw a confluence of speakers from the fields of management, entrepreneurship, technology and education.

The conference, on the theme ‘Globalisation-Innovation-Leadership’ hosted by the Dr. GRD College of Science, GRD Institute of Management, and GRD School of Commerce and International Business, was held at Hotel Le Meridien on November 10 and 11. 



The two-day event was kicked-off with the launch of the ICIM-2017 magazine by the chief guest P. Kanagasabapathi, Syndicate Member of Bharathiar University, and Professor, School of Law, SASTRA University, along with a few of the distinguished speakers.

Experts from India and abroad provided the participants, largely made up of students, valuable insights. 

The first day had speakers Kerrie Phipps, Alvin Saldanha, Prof. Martin Broad, Ketan Bhagat, Dr. Zafaran Hassan, and Dr. Stanley James touch upon topics such as innovation and digital marketing, psychology of leadership, mindfulness in the global world, strategic management, and entrepreneurial innovation.



The second day had sessions by Prasenjit Roy, Dr. M.J. Xavier, Dr. Kavitha Thangasami, Sanjeev Sinha, and Ravi Sharma. 

A special face-to-face with actor Ganesh Venkatraman had the audience listening to his experiences with success and failure.

And, it was not all about sessions.  There were dance and martial arts presentations by the students.  Interesting interviews with the guest speakers were held by students on the Red Carpet.  And, it all came to end with ICIM-2017 song by the students.
