Murder suspects booked under Goondas Act

Coimbatore, Nov. 16 

On September 22, S. Selvam alias Selvaraj (38) and Anand, an auto driver, both from Selvapuram, were hacked to death by a gang inside a combined toilet complex there. Subsequently , five suspects -- Surya, Vigneshkumar, Vijayraj, Mohan and Surya were arrested the same day by the Selvapuram Police. They have been remanded in custody.



City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj has issued orders to book the suspects under the Goondas Act due to their involevment in various unlawful activities. They have been split and lodged in Coimbatore Central Prison and Chennai Puzhal Jail.
