Child safety emphasised on Children's Day in the Nilgiris

Coimbatore, Nov 15: "Education is the only tool that can shatter the socio and economic differences prevailing in our society. Right education with discipline will help you achieve great heights in life" said Ms. J. Innocent Divya, District Collector of the Nilgiris.

Addressing students on Children's day at the Horticulture Department's Commercial Office at Udhagamandalam, she urged students to practice moral values in life. Elaborating on the helpline and support services offered by the government to safeguard child rights, she requested the students to be aware of '1098', the child helpline which functions 24x7.



She also distributed pamphlets and post cards to the children to register their grievance through post.
