New born deer calves enthrall visitors at VOC Zoo

Coimbatore, Nov 13: A pair of newly-born spotted deer are the new addition to the VOC Zoological Park here. The little ones have been enthralling the visitors, especially children.

"We have been paying utmost attention to the health of these spotted deers as they are on the verge of extinction. Healthy  and nutritious supplements  best suited for the season along with proper medical care has led to the constant increase in the population of these deers  here. Now, with the birth of these two calfs, the count of spotted deers stands at 27. The children who visit the zoo are enjoying the sight of these playful and naughty calves", said Mr. Senthilnathan, Director of VOC Zoo.

Varshitha, a student who visited the zoo, said "I haven't seen such new-born deer calves. They are very lovely and always attached to their mother. They are extremely cute and alert".

VOC Zoo is the home for many animals including deer, reptiles, camel and a large variety of birds.
