R. Chinnaswami, popularly known as “one of the genuine humourists of India”, will host “FunCity”, a weekly column on humour and satire, every Saturday.

As a former Professor of English, Principal and Dean, though he has been teaching English, written novels, edited magazines and newsletters, and published journals, his forte has been humour.

A good number of his fiction/non-fiction, humour/non-humour articles have appeared in Indian magazines and newspapers. His popular series “The Ugly Indians” appeared in the Caravan. He has also contributed to The Times of India, Indian Thought, Outlook, Statesman, besides others.

Having enjoyed the merriest side of life, the only remorse of this septuagenarian is that he is “not in The New York Times best sellers’ list”.
