B. Ramadevi, former English and Hindi teacher, Shri Nehru Vidyalaya School, turned music and dance aficionado, will host “ArtCity”, weekly column on art, literature and culture, every Friday.

As a music and dance reviewer, she has been contributing articles for The Hindu Friday Review for the past 15 years. She has been teaching English and Hindi for more than four decades and takes her rich experience to others by giving lectures in schools and colleges on various topics. She also conducts workshops for practising teachers.

Ramadevi’s current passion is to write value-based stories based on ancient scriptures and literature to enable the younger generation to revel in its culture, even as it flourishes in a contemporary world. Being conversant in quite a few languages, she has a variety of sources to learn from and share.

She would bring art and culture to you every Friday with an eclectic mix of the traditional and modern.
