Additional Director General of Police inspects modern police control room

 Additional Director General of Police (ADGP - Technical Services) P Kandasamy visited Coimbatore city police commissionerate and inspected the modern police control room on Monday. He interacted with city police commissioner A Amalraj and Superintendent of Police RV Ramya Bharati regarding security arrangements and technical services for the poll.

Police sources said that the rural police is providing security for six assembly constituencies including Kavundamapalayam, Mettupalayam, Sulur, Kinathukadavu, Pollachi and Valparai.

Later, the ADGP visited the modern police control room where work has been going on for the past two months to set up the video wall. Later, he inspected the police communication department located inside the city police commissionerate.

The police officials inspected the Hamilton club where restoration work is on. The 150-year-old building restoration work was started a few months ago by city police and it will be completed within three months.
