Coimbatore, Nov 8: A 2.75 feet long Indian Rock Python was rescued from a residential area near Thondamuthur i here on Tuesday.
According to senior officials from the forest department, the python had taken shelter in a wooded area in Muttathuvayal village.
Panic stricken, the people in the vicinity had informed forest officials about the reptile. Anti-Poaching Watchers from the department arrived at the spot and captured the python.
The reptile was later released into the Thandi Kandi reserve forest nearby.
