Coimbatore, Nov 4: A 6.5 feet Indian Rock Python was rescued from a timber mart near Alandurai on Friday.

According to senior officials from the forest department, the python had found shelter between the wooden logs stacked in the Kumaran Timbers and Traders situated in the village.
On sighting the python, panic-stricken workers at the depot informed forest officials about the reptile. Anti-Poaching Watchers from the department arrived at the spot and captured the python.
The reptile was later released into the reserve forest nearby.
