Arms license holders asked to renew license on or before December 31

Coimbatore, Nov. 3 : All arms license holders in the district whose license expires on or before December 31 of this year have to renew their licenses by filing Form A3/A4 available at the District Collectorate, according to a release from the Collector. 

"Those people who apply for renewal will have to submit a copy of their original license, Aadhar card, pan card along with photographs and a Demand Draft for Rs. 1,500 from any nationalised bank at the counter in District Collectorate. Applications will be entertained till 5.45 p.m. of December 31.

For renewing individual arms license, people have to file Form A3 and those holders who have procured license in the name of companies or establishments, will have to file Form A4", the release said. 

The renewal period will be valid from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2020. However, those arms license holders who are unable to file the renewal application by the last date, can file the application before March 31, 2018, by paying an additional late fee of Rs. 1,000, along with the regular fee of Rs. 1,500.

Legal action along with cancellation of arms license and confiscation of the gun would be initiated against those who fail to renew the license, the release added.
